What Can I DO?

Theses suggestions below came directly from the Chair of the San Diego County Democratic Party, Kyle Krahel-Frolander. Mr. Krahel-Frolander is a long time Democratic operative and strategist with a great deal of knowledge on how to elect Democrats and get our message to voters.

1) We must take back the federal government.

Contact your representatives in Congress. Learn best practices for the greatest impact.
Protest our sole local Republican congressmember, Darrell Issa, in person.
— Track legal challenges to the Administration — and targeted House races for 2026.

2) We must fight and lead locally.

Volunteer to elect our Democrat, Paloma Aguirre, in the pivotal election for S.D. County Supervisor.
Look up your local representatives. Contact them and/or attend their public meetings.
Show up, speak out, be visible. For example, Attend Hands Off protests.

3) We must organize networks of support.

Join a local Democratic club to connect with like-minded people in your area.
— Support an advocacy or aid group to help people in our communities (some listed here).
— Organize in your personal networks. Invite people to join you in these and other actions.

SD Dems have posted a list of these and other options at sddems.link/activism. Our efforts will be expanding to include voter registration, training for activists and potential candidates, and more resources for getting involved.
